Hi All,
We are facing a problem from last few weeks..
In our scenario we do the planning for Finished goods (FG`s) only in APO.
For each of the FG in APO we have a PPM which has been transferred from R/3.
the PPM is a replica of the BOM,and its associate routing and work center
defined for the FG in R/3 system. MRP Type in R/3 is X0.
When I check the planned orders in R/3 some of them do not show any components. Some have major components missing. This is not the case with every FG.There is no error in Master data in R/3 and the same is CIFed to APO also.
On the other hand if I create the Planned order directly in R/3 using same
Material & BOM combination. It gives correct & complete BOM explosion while
converting the Planned order into production order using Tcode MD04.
Any suggestion as to what could be wrong.
We have noticed one difference between the planned orders which hve correct components do not have the production version field empty and the same is present in RESB table also. The planned orders with incorrect components hve this missing.some have incorrect components even if production version field empty.
Regards
Ankush
Hi,
Also check the MRP type of the components which are not appearing in R/3 planned order.
Are you using another SCM system like SNC TPVS?? if yes then check if MRP type of the components are relevant to any of these SCM system.

Hi Ankush,
Can you see if there is source of supply for you planned order (in apo)for which no components are coming? If your planning version allows order creation without a source, this can happen.
If that is the case you will have to see why the source is not getting picked in APO. In that case issue could be with the validity date or lot size etc..
