Hello Experts,
I want to migrate from external ITS to the internal on ERP2005. The internal ITS seems to work, at least service webgui looks ok.
What I need most is the CATW (timesheet) service. I have published it in SE80, in SICF I have added several parameters in the Gui-Configuration, now the service starts but what I get is not the "IAC-look" of CATW, but I get the transaction CATW which opens in the webgui. (looks exactly like in the gui when opening transaction CATW.
Any hints and tips for me?
I just want the Cats regular (ITS version) of the timesheet which uses the CATW service templates.
best regards,
JOhannes
Hallo Johannes,
das umstellen in der SE93 hat nicht geholfen. Hattest Du in der SE93 "Pervasive Enabled" geflaggt? Bzw. Hast Du bei "Service" auch CATW eingetragen?
Die GUI Einstellungen in der SICF sind wie folgt
FRAMESET_OFF 0
~GENERATEDYNPRO 1
~LANGUAGE
~LOGIN ~PASSWORD ~POPUPS 1
~STYLE dhtml
~TIMEOUT 5
~TRANSACTION CATW
~THEME 99
~DISCONNECTONCLOSE 1
Viele Grüsse
Eric

Hi Eric,
In SE93 I did not flag "pervasive enabled". (whatever that really is?)
I also have not entered the service CATW, the field is empty.
the GUI settings in SICF are different in some parameters than yours:
~GENERATEDYNPRO 0
~TRANSACTION CATW
~STYLE DHTML
~TIMEOUT 5
~POPUPS 1
~THEME 99
~LANGUAGE
~LOGIN
~PASSWORD
try these settings - hope it helps!
Johannes
Hello Johannes,
Many, many thanks for your help with this question. I have been trying to get CATW to work for far too long after a 4.6C to ECC6 upgrade, and by putting your suggested parameters in both SICF and SE80, it 99% works ! Thank you very much. When I only put them in SICF, it still didn't work. Anyway, the 1% which still doesn't work is that the s_b_copy.gif isn't being found in CATW. The file exists in Mime Repository in SE80 under /sap/public/bc/icons, but CATW is looking for the 'Copy Hours' icon under sap/public/bc/its/mimes (subdirectory mimes doesn't even seem to exist, although I see it in SICF, active). Any idea how I get this last part of the jigsaw to fit (all the other icons show on the screen in CATW work, and I see them in Internet Service CATW in SE80 under CATW/Topic 99/Mime Objects/ICONS but s_b_copy.gif isn't there).
Many thanks for any assistance you or anyone else can give,
James.
Hi James,
the mimes may come from the mime repository on the WebAS, I remember that I had also a missing copy-icon.
Try it in SE80 go to the MIME repository, there you will find the right path. The SICF alias could also rediredct to a differnet path, so look in /sap/public/bc/icons for example. And there you can also upload the missing icon, or change any existing.
If this doesn't work post a reply we can go into more detail, I am in a hurry now. Once I had to modify the CATW html-template because the icon path was wrong in there.
bye,
Johannes
Hi James,
I had a look on the system. I think I just added the s_b_copy Icon to the mimes folder in Service CATW.
You get the icons from www.sapdesignguild.org in the ressources/sap R3 icons area.
cheers,
Johannes
Johannes,
Thank you for your quick reply. At first I tried looking for Aliases in SICF, and couldn't see any for sap/public/bc/its/mimes (although I don't know how to find an internal alias sorry) so I created an external alias sap/public/bc/its/mimes to point to default_host/sap/public/bc/icons which in SE80 Mime Repository looks as though it's where s_b_copy.gif is, but that still didn't let CATW find s_b_copy.gif so I went back to SE80, Internet Services, CATW. There I created s_b_copy.gif under CATW > Topic 99 > Mime Objects > ICONS which is where I find other .gif files which work, e.g. DELETELINE.GIF. I then changed template 1000APPCORE so that teh code for s_b_copy.gif looked like the code for magnify.gif which is:
<a href="#" onclick="javascript:OkCode1000('COPYTARGET')"><img src="`mimeURL(~service="CATW", ~theme="99", ~language="", "icons/s_b_copy.gif")`" border=0 alt="`COPYTARGET-TIP`"></a>
I published CATW again, and when I start the service, s_b_copy.gif still doesn't show, but when I look at it's properties it's the same as for magnify.gif which is <server>/sap/public/bc/its/mimes/CATW/99/icons/magnify.gif
I'm obviously misunderstanding something as I thought this would get the icon displayed. Any thoughts what I'm missing please ?
Thanks again,
James.
Hi again Johannes,
Thanks for the info on where to get icons, I'll note it down for future, although s_b_copy was already in our Mime Repository. Anyway, it sounds as I've done what you did, and added the icon into CATW's icons, but in my case, the service isn't finding it when it executes the pages. Hmmm, I don't know what I haven't done. Still, I have a few days to think about it as I ahve a couple of days off now. If you have any thoughts on what I might have missed in the meantime that would be great.
Thanks,
James.
Johannes,
At last I got the Copy icon working, not sure why it didn't at first. I've got the Exit Button to go back to a URL, but I can't get the 'Help' button to work. It always displays message SH720 'No documentation exists'. in SE80 under CATW > Theme 99 > Language Dependent MIME > INFO > DOCU_CATW.HTML exists but it's not being called. Any thoughts very welcome.
Thanks again,
James.
Hallo Johannes,
so wie es aussieht war dies leider nicht die Lösung.
Die Transaktionsklassifikation war bereits auf "Easy Web Transaction" eingestellt.
In der SM12 bleiben die Locks nah wie vor wenn der Beenden Button gedrückt wird

Hi Johannes,
could you provide the parameters you have set for the internet service CATW in se80?
We still have the problem that pressing the exit button after having entered the time has no effect at all.
Kind regards
Eric

Hello Eric,
I tried to replicate your problem - maybe I found the solution.
It is not a parameter in SE80 or SICF but I guess it is the transaction classification in SE93.
Go to SE93 transaction CATW and change from "professional user transaction" to "simple web transaction".
If I run it with "professional user trans" the exit button does nothing.
When I run it as "simple web transaction" the exit button does the logoff and ends the session and releases locked objects.
Hope it helps,
Johannes
some parameters were missing. thanks for the hint!

Hi Johannes,
does that mean that you are successfully running the CATW with the integrated ITS of ERP2005? I know a customer that has exactly the same issue with the Exit Button. As far as I know the only solution ist changing the ESS service to Webdynpro Java as described in SAP Note 870126.
Kind regards
Eric
Hi Johannes,
the customer says, that everything works fine (as with 4.6c and the external ITS)
The only problem is:
Once the users want to use the exit button, the button has no function. Therefore they close the browser - but this does not end the session.
Are there special things that have to be considered when changing to the internal ITS? I just recommended the customer today to proceed as described here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/cd/8a424089ff2571e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Best regards and thanks for your quick response
Eric
I am not sure of your question, but I have recently migrated to the WEBAS 7.0 integrated ITS and converted the CATW service. The look was not right at first until I used the following parameters. I think the Style parameter is what you might need. I also am using the Generateddynpro.
~STYLE DHTML
~GENERATEDYNPRO 0
The only problem I am having with my services is that after clicking the "Exit" button to end the Application. The IE window stays open with the following message.
"Logged Off Successfully
You have been logged off from SAP Web Application Server.
You then have to close the window.
I am using the disconnectclose paramater
~DISCONNECTONCLOSE 1
