Hello

System: SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR1

OS: Linux x86_64

DB: MAxDB 7.8 64

I've activated Autolog backup for Maxdb but each time I restart, autolog is disabled.

How to set it to permanent even after reboot.

Regards

Eric MOUREY

Hello Eric MOUREY,

1. Please update the thread with more information:

    -> Version of the database.

         dbmcli db_enum

         dbmcli -d <SID> -u control,<pwd> show version

-> Did you create the complete database backup?

-> Was you able to activate the autolog on when the database is online status?

post output of DBM commands "autolog_show" and "info log"

-> How did you restart the database?

-> please review the Sap note:

869267 FAQ: SAP MaxDB log area

2. Did you create SAP message where this issue reported?

Hello

Problem solved, I forget to setup Archive Backup files.

"you back up log entries on data carriers of the type ‘file’, we recommend that you archive these backup files at regular intervals. Archiving the backup files is necessary as the database hangs when the hard disk is full."

Regards

Eric
