Hi,

I think you can do it by using

Material Authorization Group for Activities in QM

you can set up different auth group for raw material and finish good,

here is some detail infomation,

The material authorization group restricts user access to material-related data in QM.

Relevant objects and activities in QM:

  • Changing the material authorization group in the QM material master
If you want to change the authorization group, you require the relevant authorization for this group.
  • Maintaining the material specification
  • Processing inspection lots
  • Processing inspection results (characteristic inspection results  and defects data)
  • Processing completion of the inspection and usage decision
  • Maintaining the quality level
  • Maintaining the quality information records

Use

The material authorization group is defined in Customizing.

When you enter a material authorization group in the material master record, the system checks (on a material basis) if the user has authorization for the objects named above.
If there is no authorization group entered, no authorization check is carried out.

In order to pass the authorization check, the user needs material authorization, which contains the relevant authorization group as the field value.

Dependencies

Using the material authorization group, you can control which approvals should be issued during inspection lot processing. Additional information can be found in the Implementation Guide.

Denis is correct.  You can use the material authorization for that.

Hi Yuvraj,

I'm afraid that in standard SAP, we don't have Material Type in authorization object for UD/RR tcodes to restrict access based in it.

You need to go for enhancement.

For RR: check exit-QEEM0020 & for UD, check exit-QEVA0006.

Hope this will help.

FYI... Authorization objects for UD- Q_UD_CODE & RR-Q_CHAR_PRC.
