Relay Server & SUP 2.1 [SYS5: Access is denied...]

Hi,

I am trying to connect an iPhone with the CRM Mobile Sales 2.0 application to SUP through a Relay Server, but get the following error found in the rs.log file on the relay server.

RSF13008: System error [SYS5: Access is denied...] occurred while initializing semaphore for download packet queue of backend server 'rsoe01' in backend farm 'sup01.mbs.farm' while pushing a OE_SERVER_RESPONSE packet.

<2912.1676.F0B0Dn> Waiting for server response

<2912.1676.F0B0Dn> Trip left: 2097099757

<2140.4940.ShmDebug> RSF11016: Freeing already freed memory block in shared memory

<2140.4940.F0B0S6R0> Received down packet

<2140.4940.F0B0S6R0> RSE4007: Aborting client request to backend server 'rsoe01' in backend farm 'sup01.mbs.farm' due to unexpected down channel packet opcode ???!4x from the outbound enabler

....

I have tried to find others with similar issue, but the only page I can find is the following, which does not give any information of how to solve it.

http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.help.sqlanywhere.12.0.0/saerrors/rserr...

The application is running without issues, when I connect directly to SUP without going through the Relay Server.

Hope you have an idea.

Best,

Nima

Hi Nima,

Try to run "Net View" or/and ""Net Time" from command line and i hope you will get error "System error 5 has occurred.

If this is the case then please go though http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555644 article on how to resolve this error.

If this is not the case then please let me know the eventvwr error codes.

Also, it could be because your relay server service is running under local system account and that doesnt have access to needed files.

You can try to start relay server service under Administrator user, who has proper access to IIS folder structure and to your relay server files as well. To do this, go to services.msc --> double click on relay server service --> Goto LogOn --> Select "This account" and provide details of admin account. Once done, click on Apply and OK.
