BSP in ECC 6?

Hi,

We are curretly using 2 different systems - Netweaver 2004s (where BSP applications reside) and 4.6(which act as a backend).

Now we are planning to upgrade to ECC 6. Has BSP component merged into ECC 6 or we need to have Netweaver 7 to run BSP application ?

Or is it possible to migrate BSP application to ECC 6 (if BSP applications are available in ECC 6) ?

Hi,

When you upgrade the R/3 46C to ECC 6.0 you get the underlying Netweaver 7.0 Platform as well. ECC 6.0 is basically ERP application components on Netweaver 7.0 technology platform. You could use the ECC only for hosting the BSP. You could migrate the BSP from the standalone Netweaver 7.0 system to the ECC 6.0.
