Storage location MRP area

Hi,

Storage locations need to be made MRP relevant (i.e MRP area is not needed) if Stock transfer order needs to be created for transfer of material between storage locations within same plant. However, if this plant is made APO relevant (i.e plant transferred to APO as location) , then do we need to have storage location MRP area.

Hi Mrinal,

To create a STO, source and destination locations are required in APO and storage location as such will not be considered as location. Hence, you need to activate MRP Area, assign the storage location, update material master, and CIF them into APO. The system will then create a valid location (type 1007) to generate stock transfer proposals.
