Back in the day 11.5 - 12.0 if we wanted to add items to the navigation tree, we simply selected a role / user and added items to this role. Today is the same, but I notice that in 12.2, I have no roles or users listed and I should have nothing on my tree, but I do have items on my tree, but I have no idea where or how I can remove these items when there is nothing listed in my navigation area. What should I do?

So why do I get this and how do I remove the items I do not want?
In the WB you'll find that there are 2 navigation editors - a general one, and one that is project specific.
If you can't find the nav tree items within the WB, you can always export the Navigation Configurations from the Menu and look at the ROLE/USER profile xml files to see where the links are buried.
