Safety stock in demand prioritization in CTM planning

Hi Experts,

I am using CTM in the project. I want to plan safety stock in addition to demand. Saftey stock method is SZ (Day's supply).

Safety Stock in days of supply in CTM (time-phased or static) is treated as buffer time. Hence CTM ensures that there is this buffer time between material availability date and requirements date. So there is no "excess" supply created.

Heuristic planning method SAP_PP_018 is creating safety stock with category "SR" in live cache. however it is not supporting to safety stock method"SZ"

If I use SB (saftey stock from product location master) method then orders with category SR is created.

As business needs to plan saftey stock on priority,our need is not fulfilling by this method.

Is there any way to create safety stock in live cache for safety stock method SZ?

Hi Sachin,

In your CTM profile's supplies tab, have you selected 'Consider Safety Days' Supply' flag and appropriate 'Strategy' (may be 'Always consider' ).

In your version management (/sapapo/mvm), under PP/DS, is 'Take Safety Stock into Account' set to option 3 (i.e. consider safety stock requirement in liveCache)?
