Hi All,
I am new in SUP world but is my intention to learn how to develop mobile apps specially to SAP ERP Plant Maintenance module.
So, at this point I already installed a evaluation version of SUP (version 2.1.3.) and I am trying to create my first project with some MBO's. My problem now is when I try to deploy the project, the SUP gives me the following error:
Could not connect to My Unwired Server.
Error creating Unwired Server Connection connection to My Unwired Server. (Error: com.sybase.djc.SystemException: Error: Connecting to host: localhost, port: 2000.)
com.sybase.djc.SystemException: Error: Connecting to host: localhost, port: 2000.
I was searching about this error and I found that I need to run the SUP Services and what I understand is I need Sybase Control Center installed to do this.
My first question is: Really I need to install SCC?
I also have checked some Sybase documentation and in that I also found that I can download a evaluation version of SCC (duration of 30 days until expires). In this site http://downloads.sybase.com, I have the link to Sybase Control Center but when I try do choose the right version I have doubts about it, I am looking the version to Windows 7 x32. Also if I choose another Windows version the page gives the following information:
"You have selected a download which requires a Technical Support Contact registered with MySybase. Please register your Technical Support Contact at: Edit Roles."
So, my second question is: where can I find the SCC evaluation version?
If some one can give some guidelines I appreciate.
Thanks,
Rogério Reis
Hi,
It looks like localhost:2000 is blocked in machine's firewall. Please add port 2000 in inbound rules of you local firewall and try restarting SUP Server through desktop shortcut.

Hi,
Please check for the following services :
if the above services are available and running then it means SCC is alreday installed, you can open SCC using the link https://<System IP>:8283/scc/# this take you to the Sybase Control Center Admin portal.
Thanks,

Hi,
Like I said in my previous post I have no Sybase services under Windows Services.
Also I do not have any SUP Server shotcut in desktop. When I installed SUP only this application have been instaled on my computer
So my doubt is the same. Do I need SCC installed? And if yes where can I download a evaluate version to try? Under this site: http://m.sybase.com/detail?id=1068949 I have this:
Where do I can find this?

there is no seperate SCC Evaluation version..
check
If Sybase Unified agent (windows service) is running..if not start it..
it could also happen due to conflict in Hostname/port...make sure you use the same host name when you installed in sybase eclipse dev env settings..depening on you configurations...you can try combinations of localhost or acutal pc name...also make sure Port is available
also check if it does't resolve
