Hi,

It is automatically installed with SAP GUI release 6.20 and higher. The only thing is you need to activate the script by logging into the system and go to the toolbar and select the customize local layout and then script recording and playback. (Please refer below image )

Also go through the document which will helpful to you.

Hi,

You can able to get it by using the option Scripting Development tool which is down to that script recording and playback option.

Appreciate me if it is useful.

Cheers.

Hi Mike,

The problem is in SAP GUI.

I found a note which says that the sap script development tool is disabled from windows 7 due to Microsoft  agent. Kindly read the below note.

Note 1633639 - Script Development Tool disabled from Windows 7

So we need to apply the latest patch for 7.20 which is available in service market place.(also refer the note for latest patch ( 1053737 ) and let me know if you are facing any issues.

Kindly appreciate me if it is useful.

Hello Mike,

I know, this is an older thread, but here for information:

You have other ways to use the SAP GUI Scripting Development Tools:

  1. Start your SAP logon in Windows XP compatibility mode, after installing the agents. Look here: http://scn.sap.com/thread/2006892 for more information to get the agents.
  2. Also you can use the Scripting Tracker as alternative, look here: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-32728

Cheers

Stefan
