Hello APO Guru's,
We are implementing APO CTM with weekly aggregation of demand.
We understand that Periodic lot size is not supported by CTM, but our client has a lot of products actually managed with Monthly lot size in ECC to reduce change of set-up.
How could be possible replicate the same (or a similar) behavior with CTM?
Thanks,
Alan
Hi Alan,
There is an indirect way to force CTM planning engine to consider monthly demand. Define a new CTM profile for aggregated planning.
1. CTM Profile Settings (t.code /sapapo/ctm, tab Aggregation)
Use time-based aggregation to group the demands based on ATP category (i.e. forecast or customer sales order). Select both the options under Time-based Aggregation
2. Use a bucket oriented time stream with periodicity as month and assign it to your CTM profile (tab Planning Scope)
3. If you want to control the aggregated demand date as period start or period end, you can change the global settings accordingly (t.code /SAPAPO/CTMCUST, tab General Customizing).
Thanks,
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,
I understand your suggestion. It is correct, we are already using a weekly bucket oriented time stream with weekly aggregation of demand (it's a client requirement), and we get this behaviour for the weekly bucket.
We can't do different profiles with weekly bucket for some products and monthly bucket for other products, because these products consume the same resources, and they must be processed at the same time.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Alan
