Create Equipment in sap quality for Test equipment management

Dear All,

I am defining a n instrument as test euipment through code IE01 say i take varenier calliper ,as soon as i enter vernier calliper or other any instrument and give euipment category as Q,message is executed that this euipment is not in external number interval,please put light on it,how we can see this external number equipment interval,if possible pl provide step by step document for same as we are fihis first  time at our site.

Hi Vikas,

Seems that you want external number range to be set for equipment creation. Steps are as follows.

1. Go to Tcode OIEN
2. Press F6
3. Press F6
4. Give name to the group
5. Put from AAAAAAAAAA to ZZZZZZZZZZ at the row where you find Ext check box ticked
6. Enter
7. This new group will appear on initial screen
8. Select category Q and press F2
9. Click this new group check box and press F5
10. Save
