ECC 6.0 Instaltion error

Hi experts,

Im instaling ECC 6.0 in SUSE linux 10 whit maxdb and in the import ABAP i get this 2 errors:

i update the kernel to a SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT UNICODE and i still getting the errors again:

Please update the R3load and dbsl on the target system. These files are part of the kernel.

Hello Bijay,

indeed the problem was the R3load as well as lib_dbsl check your disp+work and verify if your lib_dbsl its working..

in my case, nor the update of the R3load as well as lib_dbsl did work neither the patch of the whole kernel, so i had to re-install Linux and started again the installation and it worked fine..

Thats how i solved it.

Thank you all. I resolved my issue.

In my case the problem was Oracle Client that sapinst installed (10). After I corrected the that Client, it now works.

Because I knew it was problem with db lib. so putting all my focus on new kernel UC / NUC but actual issue turnout to be in the Oracle client installed by sapinst.

BTW, the asynch io in AIX 6 is by default enabled.

patch R3load as well as lib_dbsl with the latest patches.

Independent from it's Usually also a good idea to apply the latest R3trans and tp patches.

I have already done that by downloading most current version of Kernel and put into target folder. The R3load -testconnect still fails.

My OS is AIX 6 and DB is Oracle 11g. The error is Array err_msgU length MAX_ERROR_LN is too small.

can you check if the asynchronous I/O is enable for the system.

Execute

lsdev -l aio0

output should be aio0 Available  Asynchronous I/O

Else enable aio

1. Run the following command from the command line: smit aio
2. In the System Management Interface Tool (SMIT) dialog box, select Configure Defined Asynchronous I/O, and then click Enter.
3. Reboot the system to enable the changes.

I got a few issues like that before and they were related to the kernel.

Please update you R3load (Or the whole kernel) with the latest one and resume the install.
