sapstartsrv yellow status - HANA Studio

Hi,

We are running on HANA SP4 Rev 31.

All the services show started but sapstartsrv is in yellow.

But when i look into the server logs it is started.

The port is open for sapstartsrv. I can connect to the port.

Also I have looked into this note and updated it.

Note 1639568 - SAP HANA studio displays system status as yellow

Hi Tanuj,

I had the same issue, until I stumbled across Ferry Lianto's remark in another topic: http://scn.sap.com/message/10994667#10994667

In my case, the error message shown in HANA Studio showed hananode01 as hostname, and not the actual one. One can change this hostname in the profile file, however, at least on my system the hostname also defines a folder name. After I adapted the profile, the server won't start again...

Therefore I added the false hostname to my Windows' hosts-file and then used that one to add a new system in HANA Studio. It worked

Just for my personal curiosity: I would be interested in knowing on which vendors' hardware this issue araised (especially if it was a factory image) - could you maybe provide me this info via PM? Thanks!

Thanks. It worked.

Our HANA Appliance is from IBM.  And they also told that if we use unified installer to install HANA , it installs it with hananode01 instead of the actual hostname.

Our entire landscape is installed with hananode01 name instead of the actual host name.

So at any point of time, i can only connect to one HANA system as all my systems are installed with hananode01 name.
