changing location of Transaction Log

Hi,

can any body confirm that changing the Transaction Log file at database level will not create problems in SAP system.

i want to change the TL file location any other option?

Hello,

there will be no problems when you move the file to a different location, as the filelocation is transparent for SAP. You should choose a own drive for the TL with a low RAID level (Level 1). On a SAN the drives should be write optimized for the TL.

Hi Zeeshan

Which operating system you are using if you are using MSQL then first shutdown the SAP and then detach the database , create sql script where you want to change and then attach the database restart sql agent
