Set field new_vers_ignore in table tdwa

Hi

How can I modify/set field NEW_VERS_IGNORE in table tdwa?

in SPRO it is not possible to set this field.

Is it only possible with se16?

Hi Stanis,

In SPRO , you can set the document version setting while defining the document type.

SPRO>>Cross -Application Components>> Document management>> Control Data>> Define document types.

Once you have given all the details, check the attribute for Version assignment .

Save.

Now you will be able to create versions of the document of this type.

This indicator controls automatic assignment of document versions.

This is the field tdwa-vervg. I'm searching for tdwa-new_vers_ignore. This Flag controls, that no originals files copied, when newer version will be created

Hi Stanis,

Okay.

As far as i am aware, when we create a new version of an existing document record with CV01N the original will not be copied to the new version.

Just before saving we get a prompt to check-in the originals from the previous version. If we do not check in the original here then the original is not attached to this newly created version.
