can we restore a database with different sid and hostname

      I would like to restore the database with different sid and host name in of the machine ?

It can be restore successfully or need to take any other activities to do successful.

I have gone through the same process as you said. Sap started successfully but not able to connect with sap.

The source and target sid are different. 

I have successfully connected with target database sid with dbmcli commands after restoration.

What else i need to do, to connect with sap?

I have restored successfully and  startsap command is also executed successfully.

But i am not able to connect with sap?

Please advice.....
