Hi everyone,
I'm a bit confused about the physical location of the database backup. I did a full backup to file (in DBAcockpit), and want to get hold of the physical file, but just can't find it...
It's definitely not in the c:\sapdb path. Very strange... Any idea?
Best wishes,
Jan
Hello,
What is the version of the database? < dbm command "show version" >
What is the medium definition you used to create the MAXDB backup? < dbm command "medium_getall" >
If you didn't set the location for the backup when you created the backup template, or backup medium,
then the database backup created in the RUNDIRECTORY on the database server. Check the value of the database parameter - dbm command "param_directget RUNDIRECTORY".

Hi Natalia,
Thanks for your reply. This is the version information I get:
Kernel Version 'Kernel 7.8.02 Build 021-121-242-175'
RTE Version 'W64/AMD64 7.8.02 Build 021-121-242-175'
And this is the medium information:
COM NSP_COM FILE DATA 0 8 NO NO 20120515092002 20120515092002 NONE 0
RunDirectory is the following:
RUNDIRECTORY C:\sapdb\NSP\data\wrk\NSP
The file is definitely not in there. It's supposed to be more than 20 Gig, so I should have seen it.
Best wishes,
Jan
