TEMSE errors: Background jobs stopped and terminated

Hi experts,

  I found many background jobs stopped and terminated recently. I found

"Error 22 for write/read access to a file" in SM21 and I google one

message showed it is because of sapmnt permission issue. However, I

checked File Service->Manage Sessions is ok.

  Also, I found "ERROR => ThCallHooks: event handler rsts_before_commit

for event BEFORE_COMMIT failed" in dev_trace and I google one message

showed it is becuase of TEMSE issue. However, I ran SP12->Consistent

check and removed inconsistent objects and the errors re-occurred at 7/6

please check the permission on folder /sapmnt/SID/global and check following note.

ERROR => ThCallHooks: event handler rsts_before_commit for event BEFORE_COMMIT failed

check the space of tablespaces and have look on below note.

  Thanks, I set disable8dot3name = 1 and I need to monitor for a few couple of days.

as for 1083841, I read that before, the symptom is not the same.

Dear Dennis,

login on your system and check the folders which are showing like

ClientNum_YXZ 

under /usr/sap/SID/SYS/Global.

if these folder doest not exist then jobs get failed.

Hi ma jamil,

  Yes, the folder exists(218JOBLG). This is our production system and it has been run many years.

There are more than 1.2 millions files in one folder.(PS: all files are created within about one week becuase we do reorg/hourkeep regularly)

  I suspect there would be a performance issue or maybe the filename/job name is too long recently.

right now .. u getting background job issue. so, I hope some file are corrupted in that folder,

please take backup of JOBLG and create new folder with same name and then check the job status.

Hi,

Error 22 means invalid argument. In this case I would like suggest you

to check into these Note #48400,and also have a look at Note #21661 and #12260 for

more information.
