Material determination free of goods

Dear sd gurus

       i have one scenario in material determination , generally we are giving free of goods to material ABC  . from now on wards we are giving substituenting the material 123

i mean we are giving material 123 instead of ABC

SO when we create order automatically free goods will come as like as ABC Material ? or we can give manual also

  i am thinking if want to fulfil shall i maintain free goods in vbn1 also ?

Yes you / user would have to create a new free goods condition record.

For 1 Laptop, 1 mouse is given free.

But for 1 TV, system does not know what and how much to give free!

This shall have to be maintained in the system by creating a new free goods condition record for TV.

(in the case that Laptop is being substituted by TV in the sales order)

Let me explain from "a business agreement (between company and its customers)" perspective:

In the system, free goods has been configured as: For 1 Laptop, 1 mouse is given free.

This is a business agreement between company and its customer.

In the sales order, MMR Laptop is being automatically substituted by TV

IN CASE OF: because of this material substitution, system automatically gives 1 mouse free for 1 TV.

This would be INCORRECT. Because there is NO business agreement between company and its customers (for TV).

That is the reason why without creating a new free goods condition record, free goods can not be given for (substituted material) TV

One interesting question might help your learning:

In pricing there is a possibility to have discounts etc. for a group of materials. E.g. for Electronics goods give 25% discount.

(Field Material pricing group, in Tab Sales:sales org 2, MMR; in MM01 / 2 /3)

Could it be possible to have "group of materials" concept in Free goods. E.g. for 1 Electronics good give 1 CD free?

(Electronics goods could be either a TV or a Desktop computer or a Laptop)

(There is some similarity between pricing and free goods)

very thanks for your advise . first i tried whether automatically will come free goods  but i am unable to see free goods along with material 123

so i mentioned new condition records for new product 123 in VBN1

Now only system is allowing otherwise it is not showing free goods material in sales order
