Only one PB visible under /SAPAPO/SDP94

Hi,

We have a user who can just view one planning book in /SAPAPO/SDP94...(no other book is available).

This is the same book as under /SAPAO/SDPPLBK for the user...

The user has the necessary authorizations for other planning books too..

(A copy of the same user yields all planning books in SDP94).

Making changes in SDPPLBK would need a transport..hence I'm hoping there'd be some other way to solve this issue..

Please advise..

Thank you.

Saba.

Saba,

Look at the entry for /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK.  Are the 'Specific Book' and 'Specific View' boxes checked?

Hello DB,

Yes...the specific book is selected, as a result of which the user can't see other books.

Apart from making changes in /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK & transporting them, is there another way we can get rid of this tick & solve this issue..

Please advise..

Also, in this case no one has explicitly selected the book (tick mark) in /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK..is there any way the book automatically gets seletcted under /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK..(maybe by some mistake on the user's part)..

Thank you.

No standard method.  I suppose you could consider making this transaction 'local' (not transportable), but that change would also require a transport.

Yes.  If no entry has yet been created for the user, the first time he opens any planning book, the system will create an entry for the first book and view that he opens. (tick marks are not set in this case) If he moves to another book or view, the system will update the entry you see in /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK.  In general, it always will contain the last book/view that has been used by the user.  The tick marks (which you must enter manually) ensure that this is also the ONLY book or view that the user can open.
