Hello Experts,

After update BO 4.0 Client from SP2 to SP4(FP3), the Web Intelligence Rich Client shows an error when trying opening any document.

This same error happened with other computers after update to SP4.

Please see error below:

RepositoryFacadeImpl::getWIDocumentList : [repo_proxy 28] DocumentFacade::getDocumentList - assertion (SUCCEEDED (iObj->get_PluginInterface (CComBSTR ("ISWebi"), &ifacePtr))) failed at DocumentFacade.cpp:

Any idea or solution is welcome!

Best Regards,

Rodrigo Silveira

Hi Rodrigo,

Are you able to open & refresh the same document in BI Launchpad on server and other machines ?

Did you install SP4 upgrade for server on server machine ?

In case you have client tools installed on server with SP4, can you try to open the same report in Rich client on server ?

Hi Hardik,

First, thanks for response.

Yes, I can open and refresh the same document in BI Launchpad.

Yes, I installed SP4 on BO server

I don't have client tools installed on server because BO server is Unix

You should raise an incident message with SAP to have it fully investigated!

We discovered same issue on some wondows 7 workstations while others work fine.

Security is ruled out.

We are on BI4 SP04 and even latest client tools patch Build 14.04 Build 770 (Web Intelligence)

We are also on UNIX - AIX 6.1

Hi Lee,

I uninstalled the BO Client and then installed the new version of the BO client with the SP04.

Works fine now !!

Thanks Rodrigo

Yes, complete uninstall and reinstall of bi clients and dashboards to SP2, the SP4 then patch 1...and 6 hrs later, this is resolved
