Hi All,
We are planning to build Product Catalog using SAP MDM.
As per our scenario- our key requirement is "User's should be able to maintain a few data manually -including images from their front-end"
As per my knowledge uploading / manual maintenance of catalog is done via Backend ( MDM), so obviously access to MDM system is no a solution, so i was wondering is there any work-around or any other solution through which we can achieve this requirement ??
Awaiting your reverts
Thanks in advance !
Regards,
Abhishek
Hi Abhishek ,
Why will the end users need to upload data into the MDM systems .
Assuming the fact that i am a end user i will Use the Shopping Cart to buy something from your Product Catlog , But i would never create anything in the system .

Hi Abhishek,
Talking in general terms, if you do not want users to access MDM GUIs directly, then you can always design a Portal application which will take inputs from users and will store data in backend MDM.
In your case, users can upload images from Portal application and it can be stored in MDM repository through Programming. I hope this helps.
