Selection Authorisation for users

Hi,

In our APO system, the user ids are getting renamed. For e.g if an Id was K1234 earlier, it is getting renamed to L1234.

The roles and authorisations remain the same.

When the old user id is renamed to new user id (L1234), the selections for user are not getting copied.

Is there a way in which when I rename or copy 1 user id to new user id, the selections are also coppied.

The selections were assigned to users /SAPAPO/MC77 -Maintain Selection Assignments.

Now I require that when user is renamed or copied, the selections also gets assigned to user.

It would be great, if some one can help me on this,

It might help if the authors of the selection ids were the users mentioned

You can find the current selections in table /sapapo/ts_selko

you can try to change the old author names with the new ones

am not sure if that helps

Hi Harish,

But the catch is /sapapo/ts_selko is SAP table and it can't be editted.

Is there a way to update this table.

in se16, i just changed the name of the author after choosing one entry in SE16 and choosing the change icon- looks like it works.

Am not sure how you would do it for the entries for the entire table. Am sure someone will point out how.

I think there is any authorization support at the level for copying the Selection to another users but you can to do it in the Selection Management Transaction /n/SAPAPO/MC77 in SAP Menu.
