Forecast in ECC DP

Hello Experts,  I know that at lot of places, Forecast is released from DP to SNP and after planning in SNP/PPDS, only planned orders are sent to ECC. Is there any reason why Forecast should be sent to or Not sent to ECC . Will there be an issue if we send the same forecast to ECC for visibility purpose only.

We know that we dont have to worry about this forecast getting planned in ECC because the items will be marked as X0.

You can sent such forecast to ECC for visibility purpose. We usually don't send it back to ECC because we also do MRP planning in ECC. if your material has type X0, then it will not be planned in ECC. And we indeed have some customers to send the forecast back to ECC.
