Model/Report for determining the % disk usage by company

Hi,

We currently have an SAP system configured on the same environment/client to support 2 companies (2 company codes). We are looking to bring on additional companies within the same instance and need to find a way to estimate the additional growth of the storage. Has anyone else developed a model/report that would allow them to determine the % disk usage by company?

Hello Allaine,

it depends directly on the module you want to use and the current size of your system.

If you adopt the implement the same business processes for the new companies, you should have a look to the biggest tables of your system. Then you can check the repartition of the entries through Tcode TAANA and try to forecast the future growth. Please note that, however, you cannot do a general conclusion through a few tables. For instance, the technical tables that containes the ABAP repository won't be affected in the same proportion as the "business" tables.

The other way I know is two perform a QuickSizer analysis (https://service.sap.com/quickanalysis) that can give valuable outputs for such kind of things.
