PI 7.3 - ecc - transaction program not registered

Hi All,

We are having PI7.3 dual stack installation. but we want to do IDOC to file scenario using ICO.

So we have configured TCP/IP connection in SM59 in ecc system - gave the program id, gateway host and gateway service of PI7.3 system.

in pi7.3 in nwa - configuration - infrastructure - appl resources - inboundRA - here the program id was taken and copied to ecc rfc connection program id parameter above, the gateway host and gateway service are specified from SMGW of PI system.

on testing connection in SM59 IN ECC, it is giving error transaction program not registered.

the data given in program id, gateway host and gateway service are ok.

pls suggest how to rectify it.

at last I have done it.

ECC TCP/IP RFC destination gateway should be ECC gateway. I went with manual setting in Communication channel instead  Default.  Gave SAP ECC user credentials now it is working.

Check the communication channel monitoring in NWA if channel is up and running.

Hi ,

I have same setup and having the same issue. But before that did you check if all the config for InboundRA is in place.

• Check property  Local= true  in InboundRA settings.
• Check in SMGW in SAP PI for registered program ID.
• If not ask basis to register that program ID. Basis know how to do that.
• Check if XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION defined in NWA  configuration/Infrastructure/Destinations tab. ( This one should be pointing to SAP PI itself)

one more query - in nwa - configuration - inboundRA properties - do we need to set gateway host and gateway service? i have tried both ways - both setting them and not setting them, are resulting in the error in connection test.

so how to check if the program id is registered in PI 7.3 system? pls suggest.

Thanks for the link. but it is for sender RFC adapter configuration.

My req is idoc to file scenario in PI7.3 using java idoc adapter.

any suggestions how to rectify the error in SM59 in ecc type t connection to PI 7.3 system. thanks in advance.
