What is the difference between T-code CS01 & CEWB

Hello,

could you please clarify what is the difference between CS01 and CEWB, since both t-code use for BOM creation but know what is the purpose of those.

Hi,

CEWB, the Engineering Workbench, is - as its name suggests - a work environment to manage not only multiple BOMs, but also multiple routings (and their relationships to each other) in one session, according to your selection criteria.

At the same time, it allows to manage changes (set locks) at the BOM item level, which means you do not always lock the whole BOM you are changing. There are many more differences if you also take a look at the routing side and some of the details.

In contrast, CS01-CS03 is for individual single level BOM maintenance only.
