Hello Experts,
Why should a customer go for GRC10v,when he is happy with GRC5.3 v..
What are benefits one will get with GRC10V over GRC5.3 ?
How shall we convince an existing customer who is already using GRC5.3 to upgrade to GRC10?
Please list out the benefits of GRC10..and also difference between GRC10 vs GRC5.3 with respect to Access control?
Appreciate your valuable answers..
Regards,
Ravi.

Hi Ravi,
if you go to the top level of this space there is A LOT of documentation that will show the new features in 10.0. The main difference is the platform change, which brings a much bigger level of integration wil the other GRC solutions.

The question as you posed it can not be answered in a generic way. This is a question that you need to be re-evaluating for every customer. The new ABAP platform brings many new possibilities and enhancements, but you need to be aware that the UI and operation will change a bit which means migrating customers will have to address this early on, it's important to manage expectations early on.
If you have a customer, I suggest you try to find another customer who has done this and discuss the issues and experiences they might have had.
Frank.

Hi Frank,
We have completed the migration and upgrade of 10_AC. The
product acceptance with the user base has been surprisingly good. We rolled out
parallel to 5.3 and found that it worked for us. Cut over to new SPM, then
RA&R and CUP, the SPM does not change much at all (all centralised now that
makes it a bit more maintenance friendly and from an owner point SAP did a lot of
effort on reporting. On CUP business have said it takes less time and is much
more user friendly as 5.3 (Search request) and dashboards still available and
no new WOW reports on this component. RA&R and the FD (Loves it) as well drill
down capability much more friendly, mitigations, continues compliance possible through
advance risk analysis. SP08 allows you now to import your old request into you
new system so audit point is also of the migration upgrade audit. BRF+ has a
bit of new functionality to get use to but there are brilliant people that help
on this network.
Enjoy the upgrade it worth it !

Hello Melvin. About your comment "SP08 allows you now to import your old request into you new system", I have run the migation utility and did not see anything that gives me requests (e.g. UAR and SOD reviews or CUP requests) which were created in our 5.3 system. Is taht what you refer to? If so, how did you import those requests?
Thx
Heraleen
