Changing Standard Event

Hey

I am interested in changing a standard event called "DNO_EVENT_SAVE". To

my understanding and according to SAP Note 571782, this event is called

up when a new notification is being created. As in the note mentioned

above I want to send an email to my support team when a new message is

created in their area. Now the information regarding the SAP component

is available in DNO_NOTIF_S Table "SAP Support Data". This information

is not being retrieved in the BADI Implementation of "DNO_EVENT_SAVE".

Here what I would like to do is change the BADI Implementation of

"DNO_EVENT_SAVE" and include a parameter in "Create_Notif" Method. This

parameter would be of type DNO_NOTIF_S_TAB. And thereby using the "Comp"

field in it, I ll be able to select the user to whom i would like to

send the email.

I wanted an advice whether I should proceed with this and is it

advisable to change the standard BADI Implementation of "DNO_EVENT_SAVE". If not can anyone tell me a workaround ?

You can do it using config and one badi. See note 812385 and following post.
