CAN WE EXTEND THE CUSTOMER..?

Hi,

i have a customer for example by name XXX , the same customer is for different location i.e XXX dubai, XXX bahrain ,XXX saudia, XXX kuwait and so on..

i have created the customer of dubai location from transaction XD01, now i there any simpler way in which i can create the same customer for other locations like copying with the one i have created...?

and if there is a other way will it effect any other area..?

Hi,

If the customer is same and established in different countries, then extending the customer master record is suggested. 

But if the customer is not same, then extending the record is not suggested.  As financial data could be merged.

a couple options for you:

* you would have a several customers (say, one organisation and different branches).

example:

MY ORG Ltd - the header office is located in Dubai;

MY ORG Bahrain Ltd - the branch office is located in Bahrain;

MY ORG Saudia Ltd - another brach office is located in Saudia;

..

..

that means several different customer records in SAP

or

* you would have only the ONE customer record but have several addresses in SAP

you need to to talk to your FICO guys, I am sure the solution depends on the financial postings ...
