Authentication Issue while accessing an recorded article

Hi Team,

I am trying to access the content of the below mentioned article (Recording), but it is asking for user credentials whenever I try to access it.

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-9995

I need this recording for study purpose. Kindly look into this as early as possible.

P.S: Provided that I was logged in with my SCN credentials while accessing that article and earlier I was able to access the same.

There was a hot fix deployment early today and this issue has been resolved.

Hello colleagues,

please try out the following as a workaround:

make sure you are logged on at BOTH URLs: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn AND http://scn.sap.com/welcome .

But I think this should really be just an "workaround" and not the final solution 🙂

Workaround works, but when will it work again? We are getting customer comments on documents having that issue...

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am trying the something (using a public UID). Then I tried to open the below mentioned link, it is still prompting me for authentication.

Please let me know if I am missing something. (Provided I am loging on both the links as mentioned in above post).

Using Google Chrome as browser.

I suggest trying with a different browser: it's not working for me via Chrome either.

Here's a new challenge on the same scale. After successfully getting credentialed for the HANA contents that others were trying to access, I went to look at another rich media link.

I could not get past the "Ready" screen which when clicking the media play remains black and isn't buffering any info.

Ah, I encountered the same issue in Chrome...

This recording will probably work if you use Internet Explorer

This is a common issue with .MP4 recordings on SCN

Update - I just tried this Design Thinking recording in IE8 - same issue as Marilyn

It worked yesterday for a SAP HANA recording

I tried this, but it didn't solve the problem.

I started with scn.sap.com as the entry point and logged into my user account using my certificate.

Then I navigated to this doc http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-2276 using my scn bookmarks and tried to view the document. But I'm still getting asked for username / password...

Hi,

Please login into the site before you navigate to the document .

This should solve the problem

The system that hosts the SCN documents and video files is currently down and will be restored ASAP.  You should be seeing this error message:

Hi Jason,

are you sure about this? Maybe this is an issue because of the maintenance upgrade. At least I still get the login prompt here when trying to access the document.

Now that the library is back online from maintenance I also get the login error:

I'm investigating now.

Hello,

I am getting more and more problems with this issue. People trying to access information, like supported platforms for BI products and not being able to access the info.

I think this should be fixed with the highest possible urgency. Please, raise the severity level of the IT-ticket.
