Commodity code transfer from GTS to R/3 batch job fails even if there are problems with single Product.

Hi Experts,

We have scheduled batch job for Commodity code transfer from GTS to R/3 for Program /SAPSLL/STAWN_RETRANSFER . But problem here is, if there are any issue with single Product. The entire job fails and the other Products are also not transferred.

Any suggestions how can we avoid it.

Hi Dhilipan,

The program related to re transfer of the commodity codes from GTS to R/3 is dependant on two mandatory steps in GTS.To avoid failing of job failures you need to perform these two steps correctly in GTS.

Step1:Material needs to be classified in GTS by exectuing the transaction "classify product via worklist"

Step 2:Transfer of commodity codes assigned to materials

Generally the frist step we will perform at cut over phase by classifying all the products, so only new materials needs to be classified here.

The second step needs to be scheduled as a batch job to frequently transfer commodity codes which are assigned to the materials.

IF the above two steps have performed correctly then the batch job related to Re transfer of commodity codes in R/3 will work correctly.

Thanks for your response.

We may have sometimes the job failing because of missing Internal UoM for a Commodity code assigned to a Product.

So, was just curious to know if we can have the program to exclude only those products automatically  and successfully process other products.

We can exclude those products from batch job variant. But would like to know if the program can do the same. Probably we would need some enhancement to the transfer program.

Can you briefly describe what kind of issue are there with at least single part number, what is the error log in JOB?

Hi,

We may have Internal UoM missing for certain commodity codes assigned to 1 Product. In this case the Job would fail completely and all the other products will not be transferred though they dnt have any issues.
