Change occurrences in message mapping

Former Member

Hi,

In our scenario we have used File -> XI -> IDoc.

we want to change the occurrences of a structure in the source message of the message mapping.

we have used XSD file to define the source message in the external definition.

Kindly let us know the steps to change the occurrences in the message mapping

Regards

KA

HI,

You have to edit the XSD to change the number of occurences. Then import it again.

In message mapping you can only change number of occurences of messages.

hi,

If we redefine and import the source message will it affect the already done mappings?

say if ur xsd is as below:

...<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="MergeNode" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="ShipNodePersonInfo" minOccurs="0">
<xsd:complexType>...

u need to change the occurence of ShipNodePersonInfo then u may need to again redfine and reimport

...<<i>xsd:element name="ShipNodePersonInfo" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"</i>>...

and yes it will affect the mapping if the strucutre are different

hi,

Thanx for your replies.

There is no change in the structure.

Only the occurrence of the structure is getting changed.

will it affect the mapping?

hi,

For doing the changes in the XSD file, shall i export the existing file to the local disk and then make the changes with respect to the occurrence field?

shall i open the xsd file in a notepad & make changes or any XSD editor is required to do the changes.

kind regards,

KA
