Service interface missing from Enterprise Service

Hi experts,

Question about standard Enterprise Services.

When you have installed ES content to Repository. You see The models etc.

Should not the Service Interfaces also be their?

Or do you create them yourself from the wsdl from esworkplace?

Thanks

Hi Micke,

ESR Content is shipped as part of each product version. During installation, upgrade or update you are asked whether to download the corresponding ESR Content.

But you can download the ESR Content you need later on as well. Just go to the Download Center on Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/swdc) and click on "Support Packages and Patches" in the navigation tree on the left.

Now you have several paths available:

- My Company's Application Components

- Browse Our Download Catalog

- etc.

If you follow "Browse Our Download Catalog", then "SAP Content" and then "ESR Content (XI Content)", you get a list with all XI Content software components (depending on the licenses you have).

In the list, just navigate to the software component you are looking for (the namespace http://sap.com/xi/CRM/Global2 you mentioned is part of XI CONTENT BBPCRM) and select the software component version you have installed in your CRM backend (e.g. XI CONTENT SAP CRM ABAP 7.02 in case you have EHP2 FOR SAP CRM 7.0 installed).

Then download the XI Content support package that has the same number as your software component version in the backend (it's always a full export, no delta).

Keep in mind that CRM not only ships one XI Content software component version. To have a complete list, you can navigate from "Browse Our Download Catalog" to "SAP Application Components" (the first entry in the list), then to SAP CRM, then SAP CRM Enhancement Package and last but not least to EHP2 FOR SAP CRM 7.0. In the section "Entry by Component" you find the "XI Content" instance as well as the "ESR Content" section (in this section the model content is placed).

Regards,

Bernhard

Hi Micke,

The service interfaces should also be there. Just double check that you have imported all the XI Content related to your scenario. A lot of times there's more content available but not downloaded and imported into the ESR.

Hi Trevor,

Just to clear, under the Process Component Model, there are the Interfaces and Service Operations.

That is ok.

But there also should be service interface, where you can see the wsdl?

When on ProComp model page hits link from Operation to service interface, system freeze.

Namespace Operation:    http://sap.com/xi/CRM/Global2

But did not see that on marketplace.

Thanks

Hi Micke,

Can you provide an indication of the ES Content that you imported into your ESR?

Apart from the models, you should also have SWC that has all the Service Interfaces along with their underlying Message/Data types. If you are not able to see this (when navigating through the SWCV tree structures) then you are probably missing some content. Check this first.

Sometimes you can't drill down from the Models if the dependencies are not maintain correctly.
