Hi Friends,
What is the advantage of assigning credit control area to sales area when it is already assigned to the relevant company code ?
Regards
Mahesh.
Hi Mahesh,
Every sales transaction you do is done thr sales area and sales area consists of sales org/dc/division.
Credit Control area is org unit related to controlling and for internal reporting. the moment you assign sales area to Credit control area, what ever sales happens thr this sales area will also get captured in the Credit Control area and we can analyse and get reports as per management reuqirements

If we want to use more than one credit control area for same customer or say one customer is dealing with more than one sales area & for each sales area u have to maintain different credit limits then we have to use more than one credit control area for that customer & then assign sales area to that credit control areas.
I hope u understand....

hi,
Credit control area when assigned to sales area(sales orgd.cdivision) rather than company code, it will be more specific and relevant to track the credit record of the customer as he was assigned through the sales area where he is in.
And also to generate reports based on the sales area , this helps in ease to monitor the customer behaviour based on the materials.
