Material Master field : Sales Classification.

Dear Experts,

     I want to use sale clasification field in material master. for some another pourpose.

pourpose : one of the our busines case we do the mile stone billing .I have to identify mile stone billing component at the time of sale order creation.

for this how can I use material master sale classfication field ?

No i dont want to update the field from any screen.

in this field i am maintain some value & it will flow automaticlly in sale order & by using sale order field or material master field i am generating one mail  at the time of outbound.
