SAP SD Changes: if ECC 4.0 upgraded to 6.0

Hi experts,

Will there be changes in theconfiguration of SAP SD if 4.0 will be upgraded to 6.0?

Will it be fresh back to start like implementation? And what will be frequent ask questions for this upgrade for SAP SD module.

It seems you have not searched in Google to get more informations since in the past, many times, this has been discussed.  Moreover, you have not indicated whether it is ONLY a technical upgradation or also includes functional upgradation.  If it is going to be only a technical upgradation, then there is not much difference in the features from SD perspective.  Only you will find some difference in transaction screens.

Hi ,

difference between 4.7 and ECC 6.0

1. changes in assignments in Enterprise structure.

2. Consistency check is more detailed now, compared to 4.7, and Look and feel also changed.

3. Document flow -Look and feel changed

4. In the order at item level the tab in ecc 6.0 is order data, whereas in 4.7 it was Purchase order data.

5. In sales order Item conditions, the status indicator (Green signal) are introduced for all condition types with ecc 6.0, but in 4.7 it was only for the output conditions.

6. VL09 - Goods issue reversal has added new icons in ECC 6.0 such as "Details, sort in ascending/descending order, set filter,word processing, local file,Mail receipt,change/sheet/save layout".

7. Quotation, Order, Contract, Billing lists,

   Transaction code changed.

   Va25 to VA25N

   Va05 to VA05N

   VA45 to VA45N

   VF05 to VF05N

The look and feel also changed with new selection criterias.

8. In VF04 Selection criteria has been compressed in tabs, and new default data tab is included.

9. In 4.7 it was not possible to control division specific credit management but in case of ECC 6.0, credit management can control division specific.

10.SAP moved a lot of reports to the ALV format in ECC6.

So basically sir, the set up of the customer for SAP SD will remain and carried over.

And enhancements on configurations will be simply based on the additional features provided by the ECC 6.0 such as if the customer are willing to activate new features such as the Credit Management module of SAP. Kindly confirm.
