Hi ,

I am not able to modify the components (data types, message mappings and communication channel) that i have created. It was working fine earlier. Not sure whether any security permissions have been modified for my ID.

Please suggest how it can be resolved.

Hi ,

Problem got resolved today. We raised issue with SAP and got following solution.

The parameter -com.sap.aii.ib.server.lockauth.activation -in exchangeProfile should be set to FALSE.

Thanks to everyone.

that kool to know. thkx for sharing rajesh

Hello,

I have the same problem, but when I change the "lockauth" parameter to false, and I restart the XI system, it fails to restart successful and I get the error saying this parameter should be set to true for using version management within XI.

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

F.

EDIT:

Problem in the meantime already solved. For those who are interested:

-> Integration Builder

-> com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation

You need to switch the value to "false", save the changes, and restart the J2EE Engine. You should then be able to modify objects again.

thanks for all your responses.In SWCV , opetions -"objects are original objects" and "objects are modifiable" are already selected.

Also, there are no locks exist.

Do I need to check my ID profile in su01 and add any roles?

check with this role -SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER

SAP_XI* role is more than sufficient...

Also try out with creating new user with only required role like -

SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER

SAP_XI_DEVELOPER

SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER

Can you check if a lock exists on the objects.

Goto XI start page -> Administration -> Lock Overview and there try to remove the locks on the objects that you are trying to edit.

Hi ,

Double click on your SWCV--->make sure that "objects are modifable" option has to be ticked...

In IR double click on the SWCV and check the check boxes "Object are original" and "Objects are modiufiable.

Are you getting any msg "Object locked by ..."?
