Hi All,
I have a requirement where a web server will send soap requests to PI. In order to have basic authentication between the web server and PI we are creating a user in PI and share with the web server team.
In this context could anyone let me know the roles that this user should have to receive and process the requests that it get from web server.
Thanks,
Sarat
the minimum role you will need are;
SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_PI_CFG_SRV
SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
the role is surely there ref: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/9f/d12940cbf2195de10000000a1550b0/content.htm
Shabarish,
The user was created in PI single stack system. This user will be used by web server to send request to AAE. So is there any limitation to the roles that can be assigned in case of single stack PI 7.3.
My security team was able to see the roles in ECC system which is a dual stack.
Thanks,
Sarat

You may get the below provisioned and will work for your scenario
SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONSUMER
SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_SERVICE_USER
SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER
Thanks,
Suji

You need to add role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER for the user which send message to PI.
