not able to create SC/PO in SRM

I am not sure what has happened but when i try to create a shopping cart through wizrad i get a message that "An exception has occurred" when i click Internal Goods/Services Link.The same message pops up when i create a local PO in SRM .

I activated "/SAPSRM/C_SC_600_000_SP04" BC set for shopping cart without approval and which is making me think that is this the cause for the above exception.But in that case PO creation should not fail.

I am stuck and am looking for some guidance from the experts,Please help or provide some clues!

Hello Has,

Did you activated Self-Service Procurement Framework? You can check it through SPRO --> SAP Supplier relation managment --> SRM Server --> Cross Application Basic Settings --> Self-Service Procurement --> Activate / Deactivate Simlified Shopping cart

Also, You need to check if self service procurment business function is activate under SPRO --> SAP Supplier relation managment --> SRM Server --> Activate Business Function.

Normally an exception is accompanied by a corresponding short dump in ST22, is there one there?

I will revert back to you as i did not check dump in ST22 but i did check SLG1 where i could not see anything.

Hi Jason I could not see any dump when i click Internal Goods/Receipts link in shop wizard but i did a dump when i create a shopping cart through expert mode.

The error message indicates Objects_Objref_not_assigned_NO

Access via Null" object reference not possible .

And then there are different methods referred

Hello,

Try to run this SC creation with standard delivered roles in Portal and PFCG user roles.

Also check if the user is in Org structure and all required attribute values are setup.

Check if number range for SC is maintained in tcode SPRO.

Which version SRM are you on?

I am getting this problem with SC,PO,Invoice in SRM so i will eliminate Number range issue.

I do not think it is either related to roles as i was able to do everything till last week.

I will check the number ranges as you have advised and will revert back.

This is an IDES system SRM 7.00 version

Hi,

did you check following notes?

1505465 Dump in create SC from template with catalog item

1572990 Short dump on creating invoice from shopping cart

1650078 Short dump on adding items in business objects(PO, BID, AUC)

There have been some corrections in later SPs of SRM 7.0.

You could perform an additional note search, if these would not resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I don't know your exact release level.
