Can risk analysis with violations show detailed risk description?

We are running CUP 5.3 sp18.  Risk analysis with violations shows only risk description.  Is there any way to show the detailed description associated with the risk?

We can only have the Risk Description in CUP.

There is no way to see Risk Detail Description in CUP application.

Hi Gary,

While doing risk analysis there is no option or configuration of getting detailed description of the risk, only short description can be seen. However, I believe additional information can be seen from the system logs for the time the risk analysis is executed in CUP.

Just note the time before running risk analysis from the background job and search for the system

logs for that perticular time when risk analysis was executed.

In logs details related to the analysis and risk will be shown. Check with the system logs in configuration once if it helps!

Hi Gary,

CUP is meant for User/Role provisioning with additional RISK ANALYSIS feature. Risk Analysis in CUP has limited information about the Risk results.

Even in RAR, when you run the risk analysis, there is no Field like 'Detailed Description' in Risk Analysis Report. You have to go to Risk Master data within RAR to check the detailed description of the Risk.

Hi Gary,

The detailed description of the risks is maintained in RAR. When the webservice is called from CUP to RAR for risk analysis, it brings just the risk description with the analysis results.

If you wish to see its detailed description, you will have to go to RAR and specifically search for the risk in Rule Architect to see its detailed description.

Hi Gary,

There is no option or configuration parameter in GRC 5.3 version via which you can see the detailed description of the risk in CUP application. But this option is available in our latest GRC 10.0 version.
