object links not updated for contract in SRM

Hi Experts,

SRM701 and ECC603.

Uploading contracts from ERP to SRM using the repost BBP_CONTRACT_INITIAL_UPLOAD, the contract is created but the object linkages at header and item level are missing.

What can be the issue and possible resolution for this?

Thanks,

Anubhav

Hello,

Links at header and item on contract are generated when a SRM Contract is distributed to ECC.

AFAIK there are no links generated for uploaded contracts from ECC to SRM.

The mapping between uploaded ECC contract and SRM contract is maintained in table  bbpd_ctr_trns.

Sushil.

Hi Sushil,

Thanks for the information. So how can we achieve this using custom development. Any FM or tables that can be used to update the object linkages.

I tried function modules BBP_PDH_DB_DIRECT_UPDATE and BBP_PD_SET_BE_REF (dont remember exact name) but it did not help,

Any pointers are really appriciated.

Thanks,

Hello,

Do you have a reason why this link has to be maintained for uploaded contracts?

Hi Sushil,

Yes, the client has multiple back end systems. SRM will be used as a central repository for contracts. Contract created in one BE can be uploaded to SRM and then replicated to another BE.

So to track all the document history we need to maintain object linkages when the contract is uploaded from ERP to SRM.

As I said earlier, this link between SRM Contract and ECC Contract is there in table bbpd_ctr_trns in SRM for all uploaded contracts.

You can use this table to build the object links ( Tracking tab on UI) or just refer to this table for the link

Sushil.
