Hi Tanvi,

For triggering a workflow for mass changes done by Import manager, you need to follow below steps:

  • Create required workflow as per your requirement.
  • In triggering action, choose "Record Import" (you can choose any other triggering action also).
  • Then open import Manager and after connecting to source, open required map used for Import of records.
  • Go to Configuration ---> Options.
  • Under Import options, there will be option called Checkout/Workflow.
  • You need to select the workflow which will be triggered after the import of records(workflow is triggered after the import action is complete and it cannot be triggered during the import of records).

See screenshot below:

  • Workflows will appear in the drop down for which triggering action is Record Import.
  • Then save update the map. Now every time you import records using this map, maintained workflow will be triggered automatically after the import action is complete.

Let me know in case you have further doubts.

Hi,

There are 2 ways for achieving this requirement.

1. Automatic calling the workflow by import map. Please follow the below link

http://scn.sap.com/message/13144182#13144182

2. Manually calling workflow by datamanager.

While importing records, import some unique comment in un-used field like requestor comment. Select your records from datamanager free-form search based on your comment. Selected all records & add into workflow job.

Hi,

In Import Manager, Go to Options -> Workflow/Checkout , Select the Workflow which needs to be triggered

You need to design a workflow using MS Visio first in the Data Manager
