Dear all,
We had only one server (production) in customer place for Pi. Now they are planning to take a copy of PRD to create a Dev server.
If they do they can copy the ABAP stack from prd but can they copy Java stack also??..
All d data which we had done in SLD wil reflect in development??
thanks and Regards,
vijay vikram
Hi Vijay,
You can download the system copy guide from sapnet. Yes, both java and abap stack will be copied.
Yes, what you have in prd will appear in dev after migration.
Please take note on the PI post-installation step, logical system, change of hostname and etc.
Cheers,
Nicholas Chang

Hi Michal Krawczyk,
how do you handle the problem, that after a system copy all productive communication channels will run immediate after starting the target (java)system ? Is there anything like BDLS for Java in offline mode ? How do you make a PI system copy and handel this problem ?
Thank you & best regards,
Steffen
Hi,

yes,
have a look at system copy guides
service.sap.com/installNW70 then Installation – then system copy guides
for the procedures to make sure that everything will be working after system copy
