Question about the network document (CN21) --> definition of network document

Dear all

I am fairly new to the project system.

But could you possibly tell me what exactly this network document is?

※ I can display this network document with the transaction (CN21).

I have a sales order with network document associated with it.

But I don't exactly know what this document is for.

I also would like to know if there is a way to know if the cost is already posted on this network document.

Hi Takashi,

What you are refering as network document is actually a network order. Network order is a Project Order similar to Production order or maintenance order. It is used for logistic functions like assigning material, consuming material, scheduling work, capacity planning etc.

I would suggest you go thru PS help.sap for better understanding.
