Hi all,

I whould like to know as we assign MICs to certificate profile as per plant, is there any relation between the MICs of Inspection plan or Results which we get in QA32? If I don't maintain MIC in Certificate Profile but I have maintained MIC in plan shall I get output?

First off, COA's are not plant specific.  If you intened to obtain COA's from the MIC's in an inspection lot, you should only have one set of MIC's in one plant that are used and shared by everyone.  It is possible to create and assign a COA profile with a shipping plant as an assignment field in your access sequence but this can lead to many future errors as multple profiles need to be updated.

A COA profile has no link or connection with an inspection plan.  It is looking for results in either a MIC in an inspection lot or a batch result from a batch characteristic in the batch record.

In answer to your question directly:

You must mainatin a MIC in the COA profile if you want a result to come from an inspection lot.
