Hello All
We are looking at ways of integrating HR data with external systems. Our goal is to export OM and PA data as a one off load and from then monitor for any changes and export all the changes happening.
Also in the opposite direction to able to send OM and PA data from external systems to SAP HR.
Could anybody list scenarios , best practices, used interfaces etc used to achieve this ? We use PI as our middleware
My little pondering into the subject pointed me toward HRMD_A Idocs . Also on the cards are Change pointers. I am not an expert in HR data so please bear with me.
I would appreciate if you can share your experiences using PI to integrate HR data . Looking forward to your participation
Thank you

I can recommend the following list scenarios..
a) File based interface. Creating data in a file and move the data from one system to other system. Provided either systems on their side to retrieve the data and store it in db
b) JDBC Based interface: You can migrate the data using jdbc adapter and store directly in the required external systems tables or temporarily in some intermediate tables and db can move the data to the tables. This is for both the side migration.
c) Web service based interface: You can host webservice at PI so that external system push the data via web service and pi collect and pass it to HR side and vice versa.
Hope that helps.
