Problem with SecStore during Java system copy

Former Member

We are performing  an Hom sys copy with R3load method for a Java only instance.

During the installation of the Ci Java we are encountering this error :

"Caused by: com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Error while accessing secure store: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is require

d to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong.."

On the System Copy guide it's missing the information about how to manage the secstore.

We read several notes like 1513450, but all of them requires to be able to run the ConfigTool on the target system we are installing.

That's the problem, as the sapinst did not create yet the sidadm user or created the /instance dir/configtool, so we cannot run the tool to fix the problem.

How we can fix the problem  ?

regards

Dear Roberto,

Hope you are doing good.

One reason why such a issue can occur is that the JUpgrade.key and JUpgrade.properties somehow got corrupted. Please remove both JUpgrade.key and JUpgrade.properties files out of  \usr\sap\ <SID>\SYS\global\security\data directory, rename and then start upgrade from scratch in another directory. Let us know if this helps to solve the problem.

Make sure that there are no disk space problems as well.

Thank you and have a nice day :).

Hi,

Java: Check key phrase

During the installation of the target system, the secure store must be created using the same key phrase as the source system. Make sure that the key phrase is correct otherwise encrypted content cannot be decrypted and that will prevent the server from starting.

Thanks,

Venkat
